There are two types of SAS 70 reports: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 reports on controls placed in operation at a given point in time and assesses the design of controls. Type 2 is more comprehensive, reporting on controls placed in operation and test results of operating effectiveness for at least a six-month period of time.
