Detail-oriented. I stay attuned to what's going on in the department, and have good organizational and administrative skills. I like to be prepared to take on things and get them done.
Q. If you could go back and change any aspect of your life, what would it be?
I went to school, then to work, and I worked during the holidays – work, work, work. To do it over again, I'd get more involved in outside activities and have an expanded social life.
Q. Who is/was the most influential person in your career?
Jim McKenna. He always seemed to maintain a good work/life balance.
Q. What nugget of wisdom would you offer aspiring accountants?
Think about what you're doing, care about what you're doing.

What do you do to relax when you're not working?
Anything with my kids when they have free time—going to their soccer games, archery, kayaking, going to the beach, body surfing, long drives in the country, long walks, working out.
Deserted island wish list:
My wife, TV with satellite dish, plenty of good wine, and a ski boat would be nice.
Favorite vacation:
London. We were only there for about four days, but I'm ready to go back. We saw Abbey Road, where the Beatles crossed.
