Q. Make a prediction; describe your vision of the business future.
More and more businesses will be conducted globally, virtually and in a homogenized manner. Therefore, delivery of great client service and improving the customer experience will become more important for businesses to distinguish themselves.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with that client?
Twelve years ago I served a pre-IPO technology company based in the Silicon Valley. I provided the company and the owners with almost all their tax service needs. I continued to serve them even when they moved their headquarters to China. It is the intimate business relationship and trustworthiness that had been built over the past twelve years as the reason why they continued to turn to me as their consultant, even though I have repatriated back to the States.
Q. Who is the most influential person in your life?
My grandmother. She worked very hard to earn a living and raise eight kids during difficult times. All her kids (i.e. my uncles and aunts) have now become outstanding citizens and have well-established careers and families.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants what would that be?
Become a networker at an early stage. Build and maintain your list of contacts and relationships.
Q. Describe your work style.
A good listener, focused, and strive for the best.
