David Sordello, Partner-in-Charge of Silicon Valley office, spent more than 17 years working at a Big Four firm, serving many of the firm’s most prominent semiconductor, software and internet technology companies. David specializes in compliance and consulting for complex tax and business issues of large and growing public technology companies. Some of his current clients include Atmel, Catalyst Semiconductor, Blue Coat Systems and Synaptics.

Jon Davies, CPA and Partner, International Tax Services, spent more than 12 years at a Big Four firm. Jon specializes in international tax structuring, cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, merger and acquisition integration, and global earnings mobility strategies. He has extensive experience in the internet, software, computer hardware and services industries. He also has a vast international network built on years of experience working with professionals around the world. Some of his clients include Ebay, Yahoo!, Integrated Silicon Solutions, Polycom, Photon Dynamics, Covad Communications, Chordiant Software, Opsware, Net.com.

Audit Team Leaders

Our audit team provides our clients with a consistent staff year-to-year, significant partner/manager attention, experienced professionals, SEC and private company experience and many Big Four-trained partners and managers.

Matt Perreault, CPA and Partner, heads our SEC and technology audit practice. Prior to joining Armanino McKenna, Matt was a senior manager in the technology and financial services audit practice at a Big Four firm in Boston, Palo Alto and San Jose. He also worked as a Controller and VP of Finance at HMT Technology, Therma-Wave and StorageWay. His current clients include Sonic Solutions, Sigma Designs, ZiLOG, Adept Technology, Selectica, Solargen Energy, Alloy Ventures, iParadigms and a variety of other technology focused companies.

Robert E. Tuvell, CPA and Partner, works primarily in the SEC, financial services and technology audit practice. Prior to joining Armanino McKenna, Bob was a senior manager in the audit practice at Deloitte where he focused primarily on software, financial services, semi-conductor and device companies. He also worked in industry as a corporate controller and chief accounting officer at Prism Solutions, Inc., a publicly traded data-warehouse software company and was also the director of corporate finance at Irwin Home Equity. Some of Bob's current clients are LendingClub Corporation, Kontiki, SS8 Technology, Wohler Technologies and Vitria Technologies, Inc.

Matthew Chavez, CPA and Partner. Matthew has over 12 years of public accounting experience working primarily with public and venture funded technology companies. Prior to joining Armanino McKenna, Matthew was a senior manager with KPMG LLP, working in the Information, Communications & Entertainment audit practice of KPMG's Silicon Valley office. He has expertise in a wide range of industry sectors including software, internet, semi-conductor, electronics and green technology. Some of Matthew's current clients are Aviza Technology, Fat Spaniel Technology and MicroLambda Wireless

AMLLP provides consulting on many business, accounting and IT issues. Our personnel comes with previous CIO, CFO, internal audit director experience, and has various levels of expertise in business critical areas, process re-engineering to increase profit and reduce loss, IT Security, IT Solutions, Business Valuations and outsource functions for key projects.

Tom Mescall, Partner-in-Charge of IT Solutions, implements and integrates Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), e-Business, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Tom has over 18 years experience in public accounting, management consulting and software development. He has prior experience with PeopleSoft and Comergent Technologies. Some of his current clients include MarketTools, Accela, MoSys and Neurobiological Technologies.
