Challenge:
The challenge NTII faced was finding a consulting firm that could not only implement a new accounting system, but also truly understand the SOX requirements. Its other challenge was in moving quickly to meet the SOX deadline.
Solution:
NTII's Chief Financial Officer, Jonathan Wolter, turned to Armanino McKenna for purchasing and implementing Microsoft Great Plains. The AMLLP IT consulting team prepared an in-depth product evaluation outlining the capabilities of Microsoft Great Plains and how it would meet the growing business needs as well as all SOX requirements. The NTII team evaluated the product and made their selection.
AMLLP implemented a complete financial back-office accounting system and a purchase orders system for NTII in less than three months. Future phases include implementing Microsoft Human Resources to manage their employees and contractors in one seamless database that will tie into Payroll processing.
Result :
With the vast capabilities of Microsoft Great Plains, NTII has an integrated software system to manage their day-to-day business activities and is now fully prepared to extract any information required for their Sarbanes-Oxley reporting purposes.
"AMLLP was our choice to implement Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Great Plains) because of their depth of IT and Accounting experience, understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley and ability to execute thoroughly," said Mr. Wolter.
AMLLP was able to meet NTII's needs on several levels. The AMLLP team assisted with compliance requirements, understood NTII's business and implemented a complete accounting and purchasing system to meet NTII's daily challenges.
